This morning has been a wet and dreary day, not so good when you have plans to visit parks with friends! However things eased off a little in the afternoon and so we met up with the Gillanders family in Aden Park. It's such a fun place to go. I had no idea how vast the park was. Whenever we've visited the park in the past we tended to stay in the play area and picnic area. I never knew about a duck pond, museum, the forest walks by the river, tree houses and rope swings, the old architecture ruins, cafe, farms, etc...What a great time we've had. I've come to realize that you need to be prepared to do some ducking and diving to avoid the wasps and midges...not such a fun thing.

Trying to re-capture his youth!
Nothing like a good 'ol rope swing!
Rosie climbing trees...a tom boy in the making!
Rosie climbing the steps up to the tree house...I'm sure she wishes she could camp out there!
Rachel posing!
Layton just wanted to sit and pick blades of grass and flowers...He was tired after playing so much in the play areas.
The love of my life...my best friend...my eternal companion...my husband
